David has extensive experience in commercial and residential real estate, specializing in acquisitions, asset management and strategic operations. At Legacy Partners (now Steelwave), he was part of an acquisitions team focused on multi-million-dollar asset procurement and equity raises of $250M-$300M.
He later managed the 40-story Union Bank Building in downtown Los Angeles, overseeing leasing, financials, and on-site operations.
A strong background in real estate for technology-driven ventures, is exemplified by David’s tenure at WinStar Communications where he led a sales team to deploy critical network infrastructure across LA County. While there, he also managed Government Contracts with the General Services Administration. As Vice President at Brookhill Corporation David handled a diverse portfolio of properties, directing third-party managers, leasing, capital projects, and acquisition transitions. Most recently, at Moss & Company he oversaw a 12-building portfolio, managing leasing, financial reporting, and property operations while also developing new third-party business.
David is focused on expanding HFH, Ltd.’s real estate portfolio for the benefit of both partners and employees. He is dedicated to fostering a positive workplace culture that attracts and rewards top talent. David is a graduate of the University of Southern California.

Eric Kang graduated from University of Southern California in 2006 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with concentration in Real Estate Finance. His professional journey commenced as a financial analyst with one of California's leading multi-family brokers, where he diligently analyzed and underwrote a diverse array of investment properties across Southern California while conducting and studying market trends. Eric transitioned to the supply chains industry for a period of time before returning to his roots in real estate in 2014 and worked for different lenders as an originator. Eric joined HFH in 2018 as a Senior Real Estate Associate, where he contributed to underwriting, acquisitions, and operational strategies for HFH's multi-family portfolio. Recognized for his exceptional performance and leadership qualities, Eric was appointed Director of Multi-Family Leasing & Marketing in 2020, where he assumed greater responsibility for overseeing the leasing team and operational facets of HFH's multi-family portfolio.

Rachel Knox joins HFH, Ltd. with over 20 years of residental rental real estate experience specializing in both FP&A and operations. She has spent the last decade focused in the rapid growth single family rental space and has demonstrated expertise in process implementation, resource optimization, and maximizing portfolio N.O.I. for this emerging segment of the industry. Patty Carroll graduated from Texas State in San Marcos, Texas, in 1982 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, specializing in real estate. Patty moved to San Diego in 1990, where she began her career managing commercial real estate in California. Patty has over thirty (30) years of experience in managing all facets of office, retail, and industrial property, including asset management, leasing, construction, and operations. Patty has worked both sides as a fiduciary, representing both private investors in entrepreneurial roles as well as managing corporate portfolios owned by large financial houses, including JP Morgan Chase, Chase Manhattan Mortgage Corporation, and Great Western Bank of Los Angeles (acquired by Washington Mutual in 1997). Her experience with REO “Real Estate Owned” portfolios led her to become an expert in repositioning challenged and deferred assets for resale and/or refinance. Patty has a Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation awarded by the Building Owner and Management Association, and is also a licensed California Real Estate Broker. Patty joined HFH in 2015, where she was hired as a Property Manager, then was promoted to Director of Commercial Leasing in 2019 where her focus is to add value to the management and overall operations of HFH’s office portfolio.

Mr. Ewing embarked on his career in the construction industry at the age of 20 in 1985. Concurrently, he pursued a B.A. in Literature from Rider University, demonstrating his commitment to both academic and professional endeavors. Throughout this period, he gained invaluable experience in both residential and commercial construction. In 1995, Mr. Ewing relocated to Woodland Park, Colorado, where he founded Ewing Construction, a framing company that he owned and operated independently until his relocation to South America in 2008. In Ecuador, he established CAT Construction Management, specializing in the design and construction of custom homes in the coastal region. Returning to the United States in 2019, Mr. Ewing commenced his tenure with HFH in February, initially serving as a maintenance technician across various properties. His dedication and expertise led to his progression to the role of maintenance manager at Patio Garden Apartments. In December of 2022, he was elevated to the position of Director of Maintenance, where he now supervises all operational procedures and oversees special projects within the HFH portfolio, showcasing his leadership and proficiency in the field.

Mr. Locke graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio in 1994 and worked in the financial services industry for four years at Bank of Boston and Scudder Kemper Investments. Mr. Locke earned an MBA from Columbia Business School in 2000 with a concentration in Finance. Mr. Locke worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Lehman Brothers, Berkshire Finance and Hammer Ventures, focusing on strategic planning, financial analysis, multi-family underwriting and property operations and was responsible for more than $250M in multi-family and commercial acquisitions before joining HFH in 2008. Promoted to COO in 2011 and made an HFH, Ltd. general partner and promoted to CEO in 2014, Mr. Locke is a licensed California Real Estate Broker and has continued to focus on the strategic growth of HFH while being responsible for all day-to-day operations.
Mr. Allen graduated from UCLA in 1968 and earned Master’s Degrees in Engineering and Business Administration at UCLA in 1970 and 1972 respectively. Mr. Allen worked for Lockheed Aircraft Company as a Senior Associate Engineer from 1968 through 1972 and joined HFH upon leaving Lockheed. Mr. Allen was made an HFH, Ltd. general partner in 1989. Mr. Allen undertook or supervised a full range of asset management activities during the last forty years, including development, construction, tax-deferred exchanges, and market re-positioning, leading to significant growth in HFH asset base over the years.
Mr. Hahn graduated from Stanford University in 1962 and served as a commercial loan officer for Union Bank beginning in 1962 and moved to City National Bank in 1967 as assistant vice president in commercial loans. Mr. Hahn graduated from USC Law School in 1971. Initially, Mr. Hahn worked for the Legal Aid Foundation of Long Beach, taught litigation skills to USC law students and in 1974 became Amador County Counsel, from which Mr. Hahn retired in 2006. Mr. Hahn was made an HFH, Ltd. general partner in 2004.
Ms. Saenz graduated from Bard College in 1993. She worked in development and advancement of several non-profit organizations until 1998 when she worked in Real Estate Appraisal and then for the Community Development Commission of Los Angeles in the Business Technology Center. She returned to the arts in 2010 joining Creative World Art Center and is currently the Executive Director. Ms. Saenz has been a limited partner of HFH since 1998 and was made general partner in 2023.
