David has extensive experience in commercial and residential real estate, specializing in acquisitions, asset management and strategic operations. At Legacy Partners (now Steelwave), he was part of an acquisitions team focused on multi-million-dollar asset procurement and equity raises of $250M-$300M.

He later managed the 40-story Union Bank Building in downtown Los Angeles, overseeing leasing, financials, and on-site operations. 

A strong background in real estate for technology-driven ventures, is exemplified by David’s tenure at WinStar Communications where he led a sales team to deploy critical network infrastructure across LA County. While there, he also managed Government Contracts with the General Services Administration. As Vice President at Brookhill Corporation David handled a diverse portfolio of properties, directing third-party managers, leasing, capital projects, and acquisition transitions. Most recently, at Moss & Company he oversaw a 12-building portfolio, managing leasing, financial reporting, and property operations while also developing new third-party business.

David is focused on expanding HFH Ltd.’s real estate portfolio for the benefit of both partners and employees. He is dedicated to fostering a positive workplace culture that attracts and rewards top talent. David is a graduate of the University of Southern California.

Shamine Jean-Pierre brings more than 20 years of property management experience to her role as Director of Leasing – Residential at HFH, Ltd. A dedicated member of the team for over seven years, she now oversees all residential properties, working closely with property managers and leasing staff to ensure efficient operations and high resident satisfaction.

Shamine is known for her positive outlook and her commitment to building strong professional relationships throughout the organization. Her background includes a bachelor’s degree in education and communications from the University of Durban Westville in South Africa, and she is also licensed in Life & Health with the State of California.

She is passionate about helping others through education and mentorship and takes particular interest in financial literacy, stock market investing, and empowering individuals to grow.

Patty Carroll joined HFH Ltd. in 2015 as a Property Manager and was promoted to Director of Commercial Leasing in 2019. In this role, she oversees leasing strategies and operations across HFH’s commercial office portfolio, with a focus on enhancing value through effective management and tenant relations.

Patty Carroll joined HFH Ltd. in 2015 as a Property Manager and was promoted to Director of Commercial Leasing in 2019. In this role, she oversees leasing strategies and operations across HFH’s commercial office portfolio, with a focus on enhancing value through effective management and tenant relations.

Patty brings over 30 years of experience in commercial real estate, including office, retail, and industrial assets. Her background spans asset management, leasing, construction oversight, and property operations. Throughout her career, she has represented both private investors and institutional owners, managing portfolios for firms such as JP Morgan Chase, Chase Manhattan Mortgage Corporation, and Great Western Bank of Los Angeles (later acquired by Washington Mutual). Her expertise includes repositioning distressed or deferred maintenance properties for resale or refinancing, particularly within REO (Real Estate Owned) portfolios.

A licensed California Real Estate Broker, Patty also holds the Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation from the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA). She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in real estate from Texas State University in 1982.

Tom Ewing brings decades of hands-on experience in residential and commercial construction to his role as Director of Maintenance, Multifamily at HFH, Ltd. He began his career in 1985 and earned a B.A. in Literature from Rider University while working in the construction industry.

In 1995, he founded Ewing Construction in Woodland Park, Colorado, where he managed framing operations until relocating to Ecuador in 2008. There, he established CAT Construction Management, a firm focused on the design and construction of custom coastal homes.

Since joining HFH in 2019, Mr. Ewing has advanced steadily, first serving as a maintenance technician and later as maintenance manager at Patio Garden Apartments. In December 2022, he was promoted to Director of Maintenance, where he now oversees all multifamily maintenance operations and leads special projects across the portfolio. His leadership and deep technical knowledge ensure high standards and operational efficiency throughout HFH’s residential properties.

Ariana Barajas joined the HFH, Ltd. team in 2025 full-time in 2025 following completion of undergraduate a graduate degrees. In her position as Accounting Clerk, she plays an integral role in managing payroll and timecards, processing accounting data within the AppFolio system, assisting with month-end close, and preparing financial reports. She also oversees issuance of 1099s to vendors.

Ariana holds a B.S. in Accounting from California Lutheran University and an M.S. in Taxation from Loyola Marymount University.

William Allen

Bill Allen has been affiliated with HFH Ltd. for more than five decades, becoming a General Partner in 1989. Since joining the company in 1972, he has overseen a full spectrum of asset management activities, including development, construction, tax-deferred exchanges, and market repositioning. His leadership has played a key role in the company’s growth and the expansion of its real estate portfolio.

Bill began his career at Lockheed Aircraft Company, where he served as a Senior Associate Engineer from 1968 to 1972. He holds a bachelor’s degree from UCLA and master’s degrees in both Engineering and Business Administration from UCLA.

John Hahn became a General Partner of HFH Ltd. in 2004, bringing decades of legal and banking experience to the role. His career began in commercial lending, first as a loan officer with Union Bank in 1962 and later as Assistant Vice President in commercial loans at City National Bank.

After earning his law degree, John worked for the Legal Aid Foundation of Long Beach and taught litigation skills to USC law students. In 1974, he was appointed Amador County Counsel, a position he held until his retirement in 2006.

John is a graduate of Stanford University and the USC Gould School of Law.

Rosie Saenz

Rosie Saenz has been a limited partner of HFH Ltd. since 1998 and became a General Partner in 2023. Her career spans both the non-profit and real estate sectors. She began in development and advancement for several non-profit organizations before moving into real estate appraisal and later joining the Community Development Commission of Los Angeles at the Business Technology Center.

In 2010, Rosie returned to the arts, becoming Executive Director of Creative World Art Center, where she continues to lead programs and initiatives that foster creativity and community engagement.

Rosie is a graduate of Bard College.
